DESCRIPTION OF MEMBERS:
Consisting of eighteen (18) members. Each Councilor shall be a member of the Budget Commission. Nine electors of the City shall also be appointed to the Commission. The appointive members shall not be officers, agents, employees or a spouse of an officer, agent, or employee of the municipal corporation.

The Budget Commission is required by Oregon State Law and is established through the Corvallis Municipal Code. It consists of nine City Council members and an equal number of citizen appointees. The Budget Commission serves as an advisory board with responsibility for budgetary matters. Requirements for the Budget Commission include: holding public hearings on the budget and the use of State Revenue sharing monies; hearing public testimony about the proposed budget and capital improvement programs; and recommendation of a budget to the City Council for adoption.
